Crinum americanum

Crinum americanum is a splendid flowering marginal plant that is a great grower in the pond and water garden.  Native to swampy areas of the Southeatern United States Crinum americanum thrives in a full sun environmetn, but will also do well in partial shade. The foliage is comprised of strapping leaves creating a unique look on its own.  the true highlight of this tropical marignal plants are its white lily flowers that come during late spring and summer.  In Southern regions Crinum americanum can be used as a perennial water garden plant.
