Nelumbo lutea is native to the United States. The 7-11 inch flowers are rich yellow with slightly lighter tips, and the seed capsule is yellow then green. The plant holds its flowers 10 inches above its 13-17 inch leaves. Altogether the plant grows 2.5-5 feet tall and is perfect for any size pond.
