Common Name: Mrs. Perry D. Slocum Lotus
What's really impressive about Nelumbo ‘Mrs Perry D. Slocum’ is, one plant may produce three differently colored flowers at the same time. Developed by Perry. D Slocum in 1964, this cultivar is extremely free flowering. The 9-12 inch lotus is, on its first day of bloom pink and flushed with yellow. On the third day it changes to cream. The leaves are 18-23 inches and the plant can grow up to 5 feet. This cultivar will bloom in a tub or barrel garden, but it is strongly recommended for medium to large pools.
