Cyperus giganteus
Cyperus giganteus, also known as Mexican Papyrus, is native to Central and South America. Very similar in appearance to Giant papyrus (Cyperus papyrus) it differs in the size of the flower heads. Mexican papyrus flower heads are smaller in diameter and have a more upright look to them where giant papyrus flower are larger and more globular in appearance. Mexican papyurs is a great plant for a background or screening area in the pond. It can also be planted as a single plant in a water feature to add a more tropical look to an area.
