Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus'

Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus' is a great choice for fore to mid-ground areas of the aquarium. Upright lance shaped leaved create a carpet in the planted areas.  The leaves are much broader than that of its cousin Helanthium tenellum and the overall plant will also be taller.  Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus' , more commonly known as the broad leafed chain sword, spreads by runners that form new plantlets.  These plantlets can be snipped off and planted in other locations in the aquarium.

Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus' Was previously sold under the name Echinodorus quadricostatus before the chain swords were all moved to their own genus, Helanthium.
